Kerr's Award Winning Policy Debate Team

Climate change is evident everywhere. Environmental degradation, animal habitat destruction, melting polar ice caps, rising sea levels and extreme weather conditions are all observations that indicate the climate change occurring in the status quo. Now is the time to formulate a strategy to delay, halt or even reverse the effects of climate change in order to protect the planet we live on, Earth.

Thanks to the BP A+ for Energy grant and in support of the IDEA United Nations People Speaks Debates and the Lexus Eco Challenge, the Kerr High School Speech and Debate team is working hard to spread awareness and knowledge about climate change and environmentalism through extensive research, proactive debates about alternative energy policy, and many other projects, such as this environment blog.

    Hello Kerr Debate team,
Surfed onto your site this am to study the peculiar Biochar with the hole in the Middle.
I am an expert on pyrolisis. This just means I like to play with fire.
On my farm in upstate NY I burn biomass. As you know this is sequestrating Carbon. I am still producing 30 gallons of biochar one retort at a time. Already my Potatoes are towering over the non-biochared neighbors.
Keep up the good work and continue to spread the word about Biochar.
    Have a great summer.
